Power Grid Corporation of India Limited is also known as POWER GRID. It was founded on 23rd October 1992 by the Government of India with its head quarter at Gurgaon. It is a state owned electricity utility company. All the 5 regions of India namely Northern Region, Eastern Region, Western Region, Southern Region and North East Region-are synchronized by this company with the name as NEW Grid. It is recognised as a world’s leading power transmission utility company. It carries 51% of generated power all over the India. Applications are invited by POWER GRID for the post of Executive Trainee in the discipline of electrical. Only talented and qualified candidates with the citizenship of India can apply and that too before 15th February 2012. Mode of application an registration is online only and candidates are not allowed to send applications through any other means. Selection will be through Valid Score Card of GATE, group discussion and after that at last interview. Candidates who clears the GATE 2012 Examination will be called for group discussion and interview. Total 40 posts are available for Executive Trainees in Electrical discipline. Out of these, 3 posts are for ST, 6 are for SC, 20 are for general category and rest 11 are for OBC candidates. Candidates applying for this post should not be less than 18 years and even should not be more than 28 years of age. He/ She should posses degree of BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc with minimum 65% marks in the discipline of electrical/ electrical & electronics/ power engineering. Salary: Selected candidates will get CTC of Rs.6.6 lakhs per annum during training period while after successful completion of training, candidates will get CTC of Rs.12.09 lakhs per annum.
